Fuhua Secondary School was set up in year 2000 and we now have approximately 1500 students with over 70 teaching staff. Our Principal is Mr Ong Kian Choon and our Vice Principal is Mr Phor Hoay Guan.
Though Fuhua only has a short history, we have many achievements under our belt. Our Robotics team has done the school proud by winning numerous national and international awards. Our Mathematics, Science, Chinese Language as well as English Language Departments have also brought fame and glory to the school by the wins in many Inter-schools and national competitions and contests. Our Performing Arts groups put in their best efforts for the Singapore Youth Festival 2003 and garnered many medals for the school too. Our Sports and Games as well as the Uniform Groups have also contributed many awards and medals to the school.
Our Vision is Premier School, Serving Community and our Mission is to provide a holistic education through moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetics and social development. Strive for Excellence is the motto of our school. Fuhua also emphasizes the values of respect for others, integrity, school before self and embracing life-long learning.
The English Department has 17 teachers which is headed by Ms Betty Lee. One of our students, Neo Yu Chun, from class 1A, took part in the Cross-word Puzzle Challenge in April 2004 and won. This participation in the Schoolbeans.net contest was a joint project with the National Education Unit in the school.
